DSP Japan ‘Posts’ Multiple Sales

Tokyo, Japan, Jan. 31, 2001 -- Only three short months after introducing the Postation II to the professional Japanese audio industry, DSP Japan, distributor for Los Angeles-based DSP Media Inc., has taken an unprecedented seven orders for the state-of-the-art integrated digital audio workstation.
"We've been working nonstop since premiering the Postation II at InterBEE last November. Seven orders have been placed for the Postation II, all of which, I am proud to say, will have been shipped and installed by the beginning of next month," said Satoshi Yanase, Director of DSP Japan. "InterBEE was an ideal venue to demonstrate the many powerful features of the Postation II, including its absolute integration of digital audio and video, simultaneous multiple stem mixing and fast and easy touch screen interfaces."

Postation II sales have been made to several high-profile facilities throughout Tokyo including Nao, Shikoku Broadcasting, Incam Studios, L'espace Vision, Techno Max Studio and Otemae Video Centre. Moreover, longtime DSP Media client, Wink2 Studios located Ginza, Tokyo added a Postation II to their facility which already houses a DSP Media Desktop System.

When asked why he chose the Postation II for his multi-room post-production facility, Yuichi Murata, Chief Engineer of Wink2 Studio explained, "I especially like the layout of the Postation II, everything I need is right there at my fingertips."

"As a matter of fact, the entire Postation II, as well as its predecessor, the Postation, was designed in consultation with ergonomists and physical therapists," said Joseph Narai, Technical Director for DSP Media. "In the end, we built a system optimized for speed, ease of use, and most importantly, comfort. The design of our work surface virtually eliminates any physical strain despite long term repetitive use."

As an all-in-one solution to digital audio post, the Postation II is comprised of three primary sections: the Digital Editing Processor (DEP); the Non-Linear Digital Video Processor (NLV); and the Digital Mixer. With the emphasis on integration; audio engineers have the ability to execute commonly required digital audio tasks from one complete station. The work surface also contains a series of dedicated controls coined Single Action Editing™ to further simplify and streamline the editing process.
