NEW YORK, NY (Apr. 06, 2004) --

hsr/ny Mixer Fernando Ascani completed the audio mix for the outrageously hilarious seven-minute   opening of the 2004 Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) "Good, Bad & Ugly" Awards presentation which honored advertising that casts women in a positive light and waged its finger at work that didn’t, Thursday, April 1st at B.B. King Blues Club in Manhattan.

The award show open features interviews with industry female creative superstars “Lea” Clow, “Stevie” Hayden,  “Kevina“ Roddy,“ Jeffanie“ Kling, “Marsha” Fenske, “Ty-Lynne“ Montague, “Gerri-Anne“ Graf, and “Daniella” Wieden. The men who donned heels and full drag regalia to support women in advertising provided some of the most outrageously deadpan performances you will ever see to make the point that, “if they can walk in our shoes, we can walk in theirs.”

The short was created for AWNY by TBWA/Chiat Day (New York, NY) and Creative Director Dallas Itzen, Copywriters Dallas Itzen and Cheryl Horsfall, Art Director Allison Eisen  and Agency Producer Laura Ferguson.

Believe Media (New York, NY) and Director Nanette Burstein, DPs  George Motz and Tomas Bojtor, Executive Producers Jenny Gadd and Mike Brady  and Producers  David Marks, Jeremy Amar and Rick Walker lensed the open.

The editorial was handled by Chop Shop (New York, NY) and Editor Amanda Golden.

Mixed by hsr/ny’s (New York, NY) Fernando Ascani, the short is underscored by Benny Goodman’s 1938 "Sing Sing Sing," the ultimate Swing Era "killer-driller" driven along by Gene Krupa's pounding rhythms.
