[an error occurred while processing this directive]New AXON products for HDTV are modular card solutions that fit into existing Synapse card frames. Since High Definition cards and Standard Definition cards can be mixed in the same card frame, existing customers with High Definition needs can simply add the new capability to their existing systems. HD solutions that can be added to Synapse at NAB include up- and down conversion, HD to VGA/DVI solutions, embedding, de-embedding, frame synchronization, color correction and fiber solutions. In addition to the stand-alone 1U based MStream video over IP products, Axon now also offers these MPEG-2 applications in its modular Synapse format. With the introduction of its new High Definition products and its new MPEG capabilities the Synapse product range consists of over 90 active modules. By consistently adding more capability to its Synapse range, Axon continues to provide customers with a "future-proof" platform from which to launch their digital infrastructure. Axon has invested heavily in research over the last few years and is committed to continuing the development of High Definition products to compliment its integrated product offering of standard definition products. Axon Founder and CEO Louis Mulders commented that "in addition to our HD product spectrum available today we will provide a future technology showcase at NAB that we believe will be somewhat of a paradigm shift for our clients. Where previously our expertise in 'Digital Infrastructure' technology has been seen as 'the glue' that connects things. The next generation of infrastructure we will showcase will prove that the real 'superhighway' will soon be here and that it's time for everybody to start making the vehicles to drive on it".
