| Artarmon,
Aust., August 14, 2000 -- The new 482 and 882 Sonic Maximizers debut BBE
Sound's new 4th Generation Processing Engine, which is composed of an all-new
BBE chip set and supporting circuitry. This new system has a noticeably
warmer and even more naturally detailed sound, particularly in the midrange
frequencies. Both new models have improved specifications, due partly to
the all-new BBE® chipset that have been developed. This new chipset
requires much less supporting circuitry and allows a significantly shorter
and cleaner signal path as well as cooler operation. Also, for the first time, a model below the 8-series receives true hard-wire bypass, making the 482 a great choice for high-end touring sound systems that do not require balanced inputs and outputs. Hardwire bypass means that even if the unit fails for any reason, the signal will continue to pass through the unit. The 882 and 482 have replaced the 862 and 462, respectively. There will be no price increases for the new models. Source: BBE Sound Web: www.bbesound.com |
