Santa Rosa, Calif.,
December 28, 2000 -- SEKD America announces the shipping of its
brand new dual 24 Bit 96 kHz TDIF card for Windows 95/98 NT and 2000 that
allows transfer of 16 channels and DTRS control.
The SEK'D PRODIF T 2496 PRO was designed with the professional user in
mind. The short PCI card provides the connector for a break out cable
that features two TDIF Interfaces and one DTRS transport control/sync
port.
The card can record and play back 16 channels of digital audio simultaneously.
Up to 4 cards can be combined in one PC for up to 64 channels. Multiple
cards are synchronized via a ribbon cable that connects internally directly
to the circuit board. Supported sample rates include 44.1, 48, 88.2 and
96 kHz. Supported bit rates are 16, 20 and 24 Bit.
Through the DTRS connector, the user gets full remote transport and recording
control via the provided control software. The remote control software
also allows setting of auto locater points, chase mode in and out points
and pre roll time. Further, the tape location is displayed in absolute
time (ABS).
Time code is also transferred and received via the DTRS connector, allowing
frame-accurate transfer of individual or all tracks between TDIF compatible
tape decks and the PC. With this feature, the user can transfer individual
tracks to the PC, edit them and fly them back to the tape in perfect sync
with the other tracks. The PRODIF T 2496 PRO is shipping now and retails
at $599.
