Dick & Rogers in Vancouver recently selected an AudioFile SC and upgraded its Logic 2 console for its new 5.1 surround sound studio. Recent projects utilizing this equipment include Casper's Haunted Christmas, a made-for-DVD movie; and the CGI-animated television programme Action Man, for which Dick & Rogers will produce the audio for 26 episodes.

According to Roger Monk, Dick & Rogers' Managing Director, the company has been using AMS Neve equipment since 1987. "We have a long-standing relationship with AMS Neve, and the AudioFile SC is extremely compatible with the rest of our AMS Neve equipment," said Monk. "When it comes down to it, we really like the speed of the SC. In fact, the whole chain, including our existing AudioFile and our new SC, simply allows us to put together very complicated projects expediently."

YTV in Canada has recently chosen to upgrade its facility with AMS Neve equipment. YTV's existing Libra console is being upgraded to a Libra Post system and two AudioFiles have been upgraded to SCs. See separate release for further details.

Mainframe Entertainment, a facility which specialises in the creation of computer-animated children's shows in Canada, has chosen AMS Neve AudioFile SCs for each of its four editing suites.

Mainframe's Audio Supervisor Marcel Dupereault says: "I worked at a facility in the early 1990s which used AudioFiles, so I was familiar with AMS Neve products and its service. I looked at a number of different systems and presented a few to Mainframe's editors. Each of our five editors were blown away by the AudioFiles. We can run these around the clock without them crashing, as opposed to other competitive systems."

Reel Time Recorders LTD has installed a Logic 3 digital audio workstation into its main studio. In addition the facility has upgraded to an AudioFile SC. President & Chief Engineer Chuck O'Hara says: "AMS Neve has always been at the forefront. Sonically the Logic 3 is far above other consoles I've heard; what you put in is what you get in return. It has a nice, fat sound."
