Rome, Italy, June 12, 2000 – nTrack Studio, a PC based complete recording studio with unlimited virtual tracks from FASoft, has added support for VST 2.0 plug-ins as well as VST instruments to its current support of DirectX plug ins.  VST instrument support allows the synth to be treated as an audio path to the mix, allowing the user to add plug-in effects, plus eliminating the MIDI delay inherent in most hardware MIDI systems.

Realtime Audio effects such as echo, chorus and compression can be added to each track, to the master channel or to one of the aux channels non-destructively: you can adjust the effect settings and listen to the result in real time. Apart from its native effects (Reverb, Echo, Auto volume, Pitch Shift and Chorus) the program also supports the standard DirectX and VST plugins interfaces: third party effect modules can be used in real-time from within the program.

Other features include effects processing and mixing using 32 bit resolution. The program also works with any standard or multichannel 16 and 24 bit soundcards, or multiple soundcards. Any combination of 16, 24 and 32 bit mono and stereo wave files can be used in the same song or even on the same track, with up to 32 aux channels with fully automated sends & returns.  An MP3 encoder is also included as part of the software package.

n-Track Studio 2.1.4 for Windows costs $39 and $59 (24-bit version), and is available for Win 95/98, and NT.
