Minneapolis, Minn.,
March 23, 2000 -- Coda Music Technology, the makers of the world's best
selling music notation products, announces the release of Allegro 2000,
the latest upgrade to its mid-level notation product.
Designed
specifically for performing musicians, Allegro 2000's new features draw
directly from Finale 2000, the company's flagship program for desktop
music publishing, and PrintMusic! 2000, Coda's entry-level notation
software. All files created in any of Coda's current notation products
are fully interchangeable.
Allegro 2000 incorporates most of Finale 2000's MIDI features, including
recording of MIDI data so that performance nuances are saved; a MIDI
Graphic Editing window for tweaking performance aspects; a transcription
engine for turning Standard MIDI Files into notation; and HyperScribe,
Coda's patented real-time note entry system where notes are entered
by playing a MIDI keyboard while the user controls the tempo.
The new Allegro 2000 Set-Up Wizard lets users select their instruments
or voices and instantly sets up the score--staff names, transpositions,
clefs and playback sounds are automatic. Dozens of other templates are
also provided such as Lead Sheet, Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Band or SATB
with piano.
Additional features that improve Allegro 2000's power and ease of use
include:
-
Importing of scanned sheet music files from MidiScan's Musitek music
scanning technology:
-
QuickStart video tips and instant help messages teach the basics of
Allegro 2000 right on the computer screen
- Music is now spaced
automatically as it is entered
-
Free Jazz Font available to registered user to give music a handwritten
look
