Digidesign has started shipping PostConform 2.0, and update to its Mac-only
autoconforming software. The update brings compatibility with Pro Tools|24
and Pro Tools |24 MIX systems.
PostConform is a standalone application that supports Pro Tools 4.x and
5.x session file formats and HFS and HFS+ disk formats. The software is
compatible with G4s and blue and white G3s and can use USB connections for
machine control and MIDI time code, with additional support for Keyspan
USB to serial adapters. It also supports the Digidesign Universal Slave
Driver.
PostConform automatically locates and captures EDL elements
from external source decks and conforms them to specified positions on the
list. It can record 24-bit audio and export 24-bit Pro Tools sessions and
supports the option to store unique identifier strings in sound file names.
 PostConform
2.0 is available for $995. Users of version 1.x can download a free updater
to 2.0 that includes all of the components of the full retail version. For
